California as an island created a stir because if the maps were right, the faulty foundation of the billions of years timetable would be exposed, and the truth of the Biblical account would be verified.  The maps were successfully put down as a myth, very successfully, as there seems to be no trace of anyone taking them seriously for the last two hundred years until now.


Funny how accurately a "myth" matches what we see today.
